Abstract
Provided by the present invention is yarn for cell culture support. The yarn by an embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality strands of twisted mono yarns and has a space formed to be separated between mono yarns by untwisting at least one part of the plurality strands of twisted mono yarns in order to prevent the density-dependent inhibition of cultured cells and improve a cell contact specific surface area. By the above, a cell proliferation rate and a survival rate can be improved by being implemented through micro environment yarn appropriate for the movement, proliferation, and differentiation of cultured cells. A large amount of cells can be cultured simultaneously by implementing a proliferation space of cells maximally in a limited support space and cell proliferation can be maintained continuously by preventing a cell proliferation suppression phenomenon by contact between cells. Furthermore, the present invention can be cultured in more appropriate shape and structure to apply the cultured cells on an in-vitro experiment model or an internal body of an animal for transplantation and can be applied widely as various products used for a cell culture field or a tissue engineering field such as a bioreactor, a cell culture container, and a body transplantation kit. The mono yarn is cotton yarn, filament yarn, or slitting yarn.
