STRUCTURED COMPOSITES AS A MATRIX (SCAFFOLD) FOR THE TISSUE ENGINEERING OF BONES

Abstract

The invention relates to a structured composite as a carrier for the tissue engineering and implant material of bones, consisting of a mass of porous calcium phosphate granulates. The granulated material has a grain size of between 0.5 and 10 mm with macropores and micropores, and the macropores hav e an average diameter of between 50 and 500 m and are bound by a biocompatible binding agent.
