23 Jul Smooth muscle cell planter for tissue-engineered blood vessels
Abstract
The invention relates to appliances and products in the field of biomedical engineering. The invention aims to provide a special device for planting smooth muscle cells on a tissue-engineered vascular stent material. Reforming the traditional method of planting smooth muscle cells in the pipe cavity of the stent material, the cell planter mainly comprises a cell planting pipe (1), a cell suspension containing tube (4) and a three-way pipe (5). Based on a vacuum attraction effect, smooth muscle cells are uniformly planted under the inner membrane from the outer wall of the pipe cavity, therebyensuring that the density of the planted cells is uniform; by using the product to plant smooth muscle cells, less damage can be caused to the inner membrane layer structure of the stent material, and the quantity of the planted smooth muscle cells can be subjected to quantization control; and the process of using the product to plant smooth muscles is carried out in the sterile (approximately) cell suspension tube, thereby reducing the possibility that the stent material is in contact with the outside and reducing the pollution rate during the construction of tissue-engineered blood vessels. The product is made of clinically-used medical materials, has a high safety factor and is nonpoisonous and harmless to the cells and constructed tissue-engineered blood vessels.
