Abstract
The invention provides a gene for encoding rice latex protein as well as a rice endosperm-specific promoter, wherein the gene for encoding rice latex protein is named as rice latex1 gene and has a DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) sequence as shown in SEQ ID No. 2 (sequence identity number 2); and the rice endosperm-specific promoter is derived from the upstream sequence of the rice latex 1 gene and named as Oslatex1-P promoter. The experiments of transgenic rice analysis prove that the Oslatex1-P promoter is capable of controlling specific expression of a target gene in endosperm tissues of rice and basically preventing the expression of the target gene in other tissue parts.The Oslatex1-P promoter provided by the invention can be used for improving related characters of rice endosperm in genetic engineering.
