Abstract
The invention provides a rice anther specific expression promoter OsAnth3 and application thereof and further provides an expression cassette containing the rice anther specific expression promoter OsAnth3, a recombinant expression vector and a method for obtaining corresponding host bacteria and transformants by the rice anther specific expression promoter OsAnth3. According to dyeing experiments, the rice anther specific expression promoter OsAnth3 is capable of driving a target gene to strongly express in rice anthers without expression in other parts, so that the promoter has strong tissue specificity. By application of the rice anther specific expression promoter OsAnth3 to culture of transgenic varieties, growth characteristics of the anther part can be changed with minimum metabolism burden, and remarkable potential social and economic values can be achieved. The rice anther specific expression promoter OsAnth3 which is applied to plant genetic engineering drives the target gene to specifically express in crop anthers; by matched use of the promoter and a gene with an anther growth inhibition or interference function, growth and development of the crop anthers can be interfered to realize hybridization researches; gene drifting is prevented, and prevention and control of possible ecological risks resulted from transgenic crops are realized accordingly.
