Abstract
The invention provides a rice anther high-expression promoter OsAnth4 and application thereof. The invention further provides an expression cassette containing the promoter and a recombinant expression vector. The inventor discovers, extracts and identifies a DNA sequence, with transcriptional control activity, in Nipponbare. The promoter is applied to crop gene engineering and used for culturing transgenic plants. The promoter can specifically drive target genes to perform high expression in anther, and accordingly the promoter can be effectively applied to rice fertility improvement and applied to hybrid rice breeding. The rice anther high-expression promoter is connected into a vector to have the gene upstream region capable of improving rice anther character and function, and accordingly the recombinant expression vector is built; the recombinant expression vector is transferred into rice cells, tissue or organs for culturing to obtain corresponding transgenic plants; in the plants, the promoter can drive the target genes to perform specific expression in the anther so as to improve the rice fertility.
