Abstract
The present invention relates to a recombinant protein to synthesize silica and a use thereof. The recombinant protein of the present invention enables formation of silica through soluble expression, can be produced in a form of insoluble thin sheets, and exhibits effects of promoting bone regeneration or differentiation due to high binding ability with calcium, thereby being used as a crucial technology in fields associated with bone graft materials and supports for tissue engineering.
