PROSTHESIS OF INTERVERTEBRAL DISC

PROSTHESIS OF INTERVERTEBRAL DISC

Abstract

FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: prosthesis is designed for substitution of sore intervertebral disc. It has two plates positioned opposite to each other. Plates are made of permeable porous superelastic titanium nickelide. intermediate fluoroplastic member is coupled to each plate through buffer layer of composition consisting of porous titanium nickelide and fluoroplastic. Porous plates serve as flexible frame of device and members for coupling with bone tissue of vertebras. Fluoroplastic is main flexible element which provides for shock-absorption and mobility of vertebral column. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 dwg
