Abstract
The invention is directed to a process for the preparation of an object, supporting a lipid bilayer, for use in tissue engineering comprising the steps of – Providing an object having a surface, – Treating the surface of the object with a plasma containing active oxygen to provide the surface of the object with reactive groups A, to provide the surface of the object with reactive groups A, – Covalently attaching a sterol group to the reactive groups A and – Contacting the object activated with sterol groups with a lipid solution to form a lipid bilayer.
