23 Jul PREPARATION METHOD OF BIODEGRADABLE DUAL PORE POLYMER SCAFFOLDS FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING
Abstract
Provided is a method for preparing biodegradable dual pore polymer scaffolds for tissue engineering, wherein the prepared scaffold has high surface area and high porosity, and thus is effective in regenerating all biological tissues and organs. The method for preparing biodegradable dual pore polymer scaffolds for tissue engineering comprises the steps of: (1) preparing a polymer sample by leaving a polymer solution including biodegradable polymer, a fizzy mixture of carbonates and organic acids, and a solvent alone at a temperature of -196 C to room temperature to evaporate solvent; and (2) putting the prepared polymer sample into an aqueous mixture solution of water and alcohol and expanding the sample to be dried. The polymer sample of the step (1) is obtained by dissolving the biodegradable polymer in a solvent/non-solvent mixture solution and then thereto adding the fizzy mixture to be homogeneously mixed, or dissolving the biodegradable polymer in organic solvent and then thereto adding the fizzy mixture in different sizes to be homogeneously mixed. In the solvent/non-solvent mixture solution, the solvent is an organic solvent in which the biodegradable polymer is soluble, and the non-solvent is a solvent in which the polymer is insoluble and which is miscible with only the organic solvent.
