23 Jul POROUS SCAFFOLD FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Abstract
The present invention relates to a porous artificial graft material for autologous bone substitution which is outstandingly biocompatible, cell compatible and biodegradable. More specifically, the invention relates to: a porous scaffold for tissue engineering comprising chitosan/hydroxyapatite-amylopectin (Chitosan/Hap-AP), and to a production method therefor. The porous scaffold for tissue engineering according to the present invention has an interlinked porous structure due to crosslinks formed between chitosan, hydroxyapatite and amylopectin, and consequently has the advantageous effects that cell growth and cell propagation are highly superior and it is possible to ensure outstanding thermal stability and improved mechanical strength. Also, the present invention is outstandingly biocompatible and biodegradable and is not harmful to the human body and so can be widely used as an artificial graft material substituting for autologous bone in the field of biomedicine.
