Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous medical base material for bone regeneration having a porous sponge structure which reconstitutes a fine and complex three-dimensional structure of the cartilage or the bone and is suitable for tissue engineering that forms regenerated bones, such as regenerated cartilage or the like, by culturing cells, and also to provide a method for producing a porous medical base material for bone regeneration which has a predetermined pore size and pore size distribution. ;SOLUTION: The porous medical base material for bone regeneration is made of silk fibroin and has connected holes. The method is also provided for producing the porous medical base material for bone regeneration.
