23 Jul POLYDOPAMINE-LINKED BIOACTIVE PEPTIDE-IMMOBILIZED SCAFFOLD MATERIALS AND THE METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
Abstract
The present invention relates to: a tissue engineering polymer scaffold on which polydopamine-linked bioactive peptide is immobilized based on polydopamine coating; and to a method for preparing the same. According to the present invention, the polymer scaffold: includes peptide derived from protein and polydopamine linked with each other; fixates protein/peptide having bioactivity on the surface more effectively compared to the prior scaffold; and thus can enhance stem cell growth, can be differentiated into a nerve cell of a nerve stem cell, and can be attached to the nerve cell. Moreover, various bioactive substances can be immobilized on the surface of the polymer scaffold. Therefore, the polymer scaffold suggest possibility of various tissue transplantation treatments using stem cells. A method for preparing the polymer scaffold on which polydopamine-linked bioactive peptide is immobilized includes the steps of: (a) coating a polymer scaffold with dopamine; and (b) immobilizing the peptide with bioactivity on the surface of the scaffold.
