Abstract
The present invention synthesizes poly(5-substituent-trimethylene carbonate) with functional side radical by using 5-benzyloxy-trimethylene carbonate as monomer and through ring-opening polymerization. By means of changing side chain functional group, it is possible to improve the physical, chemical and biological properties, such as vitrification temperature and hydrophilicity, biological compatibility and mechanical property, etc. of the polycarbonates. This can meet the requirement of biological material and the polymers of the present invention are used as medicine release controlling material and tissue engineering material.
