Novel hydrogel with ultrahigh mechanical strength and chemical stability

Abstract

The invention discloses a preparation method of novel hydrogel with ultrahigh mechanical strength and chemical stability. The method comprises the following steps that cooled boiled distilled water is used for preparing a polyvinyl alcohol water solution; maleic acid, acrylamide, a cross-linking agent, an initiating agent and a catalyst are dissolved in the polyvinyl alcohol water solution; the prepared solution is fast transferred into a glass mold; the sealed mold is put in an environment being 45 to 55 DEG C to be subjected to heat preservation reaction for 2 to 6h; hydrogel formed in the mold is taken out and is subjected to drying and calcination crystallization treatment; then, the treated hydrogel is soaked in a soluble metallic salt solution with the concentration being 0.05 to 0.25 M for 12h and is then taken out to obtain the hydrogel with high intensity and high stability. Compared with the conventional hydrogel, the hydrogel has higher intensity and good stability in a PBS (phosphate buffered saline) for meeting the application requirements in the aspects of human body cartilage repair, tissue engineering and the like.
