NON-CONTACTING FIXATION OF BIOMOLECULES BY INK-JET PRINTING PROCESS

NON-CONTACTING FIXATION OF BIOMOLECULES BY INK-JET PRINTING PROCESS

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for fixating onto a nanosupport structure of an array substrate in a non-contact type, by ink-jet printing a bioink containing biomolecules. According to the present invention the substrate produced by the method can used in a biochip. Particularly, non-contact fixation of alive cells onto a nanotip vertically formed on the substrate is possible, keeping the substrate away from the periphery of the cells and thus making it possible to imitate cells actually existing in an organism. In addition, method enable cells to interact with other substances within a wider surface area than the cells attached to a flat substrate. Therefore, the substrate produced by the method of the present invention can be useful for biochips for searching reagents for antibiotics development, medical biochips for disease detection, or tissue engineering products.
