23 Jul NEW SUGAR CHAIN-RECOGNIZING PROTEIN AND GENE OF THE SAME
Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide a means for detecting a sugar chain-expressing cell or tissue, including a cancer cell, by obtaining a new protein which highly sensitively recognizes the cell or tissue in a sugar chain structure specific manner. ;SOLUTION: This protein is obtained by discovering a new gene of a protein belonging to a siglec family and using a genetic engineering procedure. A sugar chain-detecting reagent which contains the protein, an antibody which specifically recognizes the protein, and a reagent for detecting the protein are provided, respectively. ;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
