23 Jul Myostatin (MSTN) gene and application thereof in Yunnan local chicken breeding
Abstract
The invention relates to gene engineering technology of animal molecular breeding, particularly a myostatin (MSTN) gene related to chicken formation and application thereof in Yunnan local chicken breeding. By adopting gene chip technology and a bioinformatical analysis process, the research into the Wuding chicken and mini chicken muscle tissue gene expression profile detects that the MSTN gene participates in the muscle generation inhibition process. By carrying out sequencing on the Yunnan local mini chicken and Wuding chicken MSTN gene, the MSTN gene is cloned from the chicken muscle tissue for the first time; and a molecular biology means is adopted to research the regulation rules between the MSTN gene expression level and the growth property and slaughter property and discuss the growth development rules of the mini chicken and Wuding chicken, thereby providing theoretical references for protection, development and utilization of Yunnan local chicken species and especially the acceleration of production performance.
