23 Jul MOUTH-PIECE-INHALER AND INHALATION METHOD
Abstract
FIELD: medical engineering, equipment for compounding medicinal inhalation mixtures and inhalation methods. SUBSTANCE: proposed inhaler is shaped as mouth-piece comprising nozzle and regulator. Nozzle is disposed inside inhaler casing and is made in form of cup having opening in wall. Piercing tip and wick are passed through opening. Inhalation source can be represented, e. g. by medicinal cigarettes having capsule filled with medicament. Structurally, proposed inhaler is made as expendable cigarette. Mouth-piece-inhaler comprises ‘Г’-shaped tubular insert provided with dose meter in form of casing having piston rod. Proposed inhalation method comprises following steps: at beginning of inhalation session, tissue-softening agents are admitted into nasopharynxal cavity, fumes are passed through filter, followed by spraying aerosols in fumes for purpose of aromatizing fumes and neutralizing their harmful components.
