23 Jul MITOFILIN AS A SURFACE MARKER OF UNDIFFERENTIATED DENTAL PULP STEM CELLS AND ITS MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY
Abstract
The present invention relates to mitofilin, which is a surface marker of undifferentiated dental pulp stem cells, and more specifically, to a composition containing an agent capable of detecting mitofilin for identifying or isolating undifferentiated dental pulp stem cells, a method for identifying or isolating undifferentiated dental pulp stem cells by using the composition, a composition containing mitofilin suppressors for promoting differentiation of dental pulp stem cells, a method for promoting differentiation of dental pulp stem cells using the composition, and an antibody binding specifically to mitofilin. The composition containing an agent capable of detecting mitofilin not only can identify the undifferentiated state of dental pulp stem cells, but also can be used to isolate the dental pulp stem cells in the undifferentiated state. Also, the composition containing mitofilin suppressor for promoting differentiation of dental pulp stem cells enhances differentiation efficiency of dentin and bone in dental pulp stem cells, and therefore can be used in the fields of cell therapy and tissue engineering.
