23 Jul METHOD OF PRODUCTION FOR COLLAGEN MONOFILAMENT
Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of production for continuous collagen monofilament used for surgical suture in medial application such as inside or on the surface, etc., of organism, various membrane-like materials, cloth-like materials, bag-like materials and tubular materials for filling and prosthetics in tissue engineering fields/regenerative medicine fields, or production of support for medicine, etc., and the collagen monofilament is free from broken thread, and mutual adhesion of filament after winding. ;SOLUTION: The method of production for the continuous collagen monofilament comprises dehydrating/coagulating filament like collagen in a hydrophilic organic solvent with about ≤10% of water content and then drying in a condition of relative humidity ≤50% and ≤42°C of temperature. ;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
