Abstract
genetic engineering, plant selection. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of inhibition of gene expression in plant tissue that can be used for the whole plant growing. Method involves transformation of plant cells with gene construction containing tissue-specific or specific promoter exhibiting activity in tissue-target and destructive gene encoding protein that inhibits vital essential cell function, for example, cellular respiration. Inhibition of cellular respiration results to the cell death that provides male sterile plants preparing. Destructive gene is taken among the group consisting of gene T-urfl3, genes encoding alpha- and beta-tubulin and short sense construction with adenine nucleotide translocator of internal mitochondrial membrane.
