METHOD FOR PROMOTING DIFFERENTIATION OF MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS TO CHONDROCYTES USING POROUS 3 DIMENSIONAL SCAFFOLD

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for specifically differentiating mesenchymal stem cells into chondrocytes using a porous three dimensional laminated support, to a porous three dimensional laminated support containing the chondrocytes differentiated by the method, and to a therapeutic agent for arthritis including the support. According to the present invention, provided is a tissue engineering method which can specifically differentiate the mesenchymal stem cells into chondrocytes by using a simple and efficient method without using a separate medium designed to induce differentiation of chondrocytes. The porous three dimensional laminated support containing the mesenchymal stem cells prepared by the method of the present invention has a stable three dimensional structure, and an excellent interconnectivity between air gaps, so oxygen and nutrients required for survival and growth of a cell are smoothly suppled. Therefore, the porous three dimensional laminated support of the present invention has an excellent cell survival rate, thereby being usefully used as a therapeutic agent for arthritis and cell growth plates.
