METHOD FOR PRODUCING POROUS BODIES MADE OF HYDROXYAPATITE AND TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, THUS PRODUCED POROUS BODIES AND USE OF THE SAME

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for producing porous bodies with interconnecting pores using nanoparticles of ceramic biomaterials. The porous ceramic bodies can be implanted with or without cells in order to promote bone regeneration in tissue engineering. The method consists in the following steps: (a) preparing a slurry that contains hydroxyapatite, tricalcium phosphate, and hydroxyapatite gel; (b) submerging a porous substrate in the slurry; (c) adding ethyl alcohol to achieve volumetric expansion; (d) drying; and (e) sintering.
