23 Jul METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMERIC MICRO FIBERS OF JANUS FORM HAVING POROUS SURFACE FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING
Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for producing polymeric micro fibers with porous surfaces for tissue engineering and an apparatus for producing therefor, and more specifically, a method for producing polymeric micro fibers comprising a step of continuously and concurrently co-feeding photopolymerizable polyurethane monomers and an aquous solution continuous phase which is not compatible with the above monomers into microchanels to form a monomer jet-stream; and a step of emitting a continuous phase of photo-cured monomers by ultraviolet irradiation of the microchanels; and an apparatus therefor. The method of the present invention allows polymeric micro fibers with porous surfaces to be produced in real time by forming bubbles through the chemical reaction of the monomers with water, concurrently with photopolymerization without a separate process for controlling the surface and without chemicals which are harmful to the human body.
