Abstract
The invention discloses a method for preparing calcium carbonate-chitin composite powder by using crab shells as a raw material and application of the method. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) removing meat on the crab shells, drying by a drum and pulverizing; (2) removing protein and fat in powder with 1-10% of alkali liquor; (3) decolorizing the powder by using an oxidizing agent solution with mass concentration of 0.1-5%; and (4) grinding by a wet process, carrying out filter pressing, drying by the drum and polarizing to obtain the calcium carbonate-chitin composite powder. The sources of raw materials are extensive, the process is simple, operation conditions are gentle, the natural composite structure of calcium carbonate-chitin in the crab shells is kept in the prepared powder, and respective advantages of calcium carbonate and chitin are combined, particle size distribution is even, the whiteness is high, and the calcium carbonate-chitin composite powder can be used as packing of plastic and rubber, an adsorbent, a flocculating agent, an antibacterial agent, a catalyst or a tissue engineering material.
