Method for preparing amorphous abrasion-resistant surfacing coat

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for preparing an amorphous abrasion-resistant surfacing coat, which belongs to the field of welding of materials processing engineering. The method is mainly applied to surfacing repair and remanufacture of abrasion-resistant equipment parts. The method for preparing the amorphous abrasion-resistant surfacing coat is characterized in that liquid nitrogen chilling is performed during welding when a weld metal is cooled and solidified to reach a cooling speed required for amorphous formulation so that the surfacing metal obtains an amorphous tissue. A powder core comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 45 to 60 percent of high-carbon ferrochrome, 8 to 20 percent of chrome metal, 4 to 8 percent of ferromolybdenum, 5 to 10 percent of manganese metal, 5 to 8 percent of high-silicon ferrosilicon, 2 to 5 percent of ferro-columbium, 2 to 10 percent of ferrotitanium and 2 to 10 percent of ferrovanadium. In the metal alloy surfacing coat prepared by using the method, because the surfacing metal has amorphous alloy, the hardness, relative abrasion resistance and impact toughness of the surfacing metal are greatly improved. The preparation method adopts the prior art and comprises the following steps of: bending a steel rolling strip into U shape, and adding 20 to 50 percent of flux core in a total amount of the welding wire into a U-shaped groove; and closing the U-shaped groove to wrap the flux core therein, drawing and reducing the welding wire through a wire-drawing die, and finally obtaining a final product when the diameter of the welding wire reaches 3.2 millimeters.
