Abstract

The invention relates to a method for measuring the periodontal vertical bone defect size through the conical beam CT. The method includes the following steps that a high-definition and tubular-visual-field mode of CBCT is utilized to shoot periodontal vertical bone defect, and images of a target teeth and peripheral periodontal tissues are obtained; the direction of the images is adjusted, the cross section can be perpendicular to the dental long axis, the layer thickness of 0.125 mm is selected, and the whole shooting portion is subjected to three-dimensional reconstruction and stored into a file in the dicom format; after the three-dimensional images obtained by CBCT are introduced into mimics software, the boundary of the periodontal vertical bone defect lesion is determined on a computer through the mimics software, virtual modeling is conducted, and the appearance of the periodontal vertical bone defect lesion is obtained; the mimics software is utilized to obtain the size of the periodontal vertical bone defect obtained after virtual modeling is conducted. By means of the method, three-dimensional visual appearance of the periodontal vertical bone defect can be obtained, a basis is provided for treating bone defect through a tissue engineering approach, and diagnosis and treatment efficiency and quality are improved.
