METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NANOFIBRE SCAFFOLDS HAVING COMPLEX SHAPES AND SMALL DETAILS

Abstract

A method for manufacturing nanofibre scaffolds having complex shapes and small details is aimed at producing a nanofibre scaffold with a complex shape and a small size, such as those used as a substrate (scaffold) for tissue cell growth in tissue engineering. This method consists in using, instead of the traditional metallic target (1), which is flat and smooth, a metallic target having the shape and size of the desired nanofibre scaffold. When connected to one of the poles of the power supply (9), the devices forms an intense and complete three-dimensional electric field which attracts and collects the nanofibres on the surface thereof, forming the nanofibre scaffold having the desired shape.
