Method for in-situ preparation of wollastonite porous biological ceramic bone repair materials by adoption of shells

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of advanced ceramic materials and biomedical materials and relates to a method for in-situ preparation of wollastonite porous biological ceramic bone repair materials by adoption of shells. Wollastonite porous biological ceramic is prepared from seawater/freshwater shells and high-purity natural quartz minerals by procedures of raw material crushing and grinding, mixing, wet mixing based pulping, template method based perforating, gradient drying, low-temperature preburning, secondary impregnation, gradient drying, one-step in-situ high-temperature solid-phase reaction sintering, cutting machining and the like. The prepared wollastonite porous biological ceramic with a main crystal phase being wollastonite (CaSiO3) has a high-connectivity micropore and macropore combined porous passage structure, is excellent in mechanical property and can serve as a bone tissue engineering scaffold material to be widely applied to bone defect repairing treatment. The method has advantages of extensive raw material source, simple preparation process, naturality, environment friendliness, freeness of pollution, low production cost and applicability to large-scale industrial preparation of high-performance wollastonite porous biological ceramic bone repair materials.
