Method for culturing rape line suitable for Al-contained acidic red soil by biologic engineering

Abstract

A bio-engineering method for culturing the novel rape line suitable for Al-containing acidic red (or yellow) soil features use of distant hybridization or mutant screening. The said distant hybridization includes introducing the Al-resistant gene of radish to cole, continuous backcrosses and radiating or tissue culture to integrate the Al-resistant gene of radish into the rape genome. The said mutant screening includes using physicochemical mutagen to treat the rape tissue cells or seed, culturing in vitro, choosing Al-resistant mutant cells, regenerative culture, transplanting to said red (yellow) soil and selfing by several generations. The resultant rapeline features high resistance to Al toxin and high yield.
