Method for controlling and cooling thick steel plates for engineering machines

Abstract

The invention provides a method for controlling and cooling thick steel plates for engineering machines. In the method, a process sequence of previous straightening and subsequent cooling is utilized; according to different thicknesses H of the steel plates, different cooling paths and cooling rates are utilized; the steel plates of which the thicknesses H are more than or equal to 40mm and less than 60mm are controlled and cooled by a straightening and reverse laminar flow cooling process route; the steel plates of which the thicknesses H are more than or equal to 60mm and less than 80mm are controlled and cooled by a straightening and forward laminar flow cooling process route; and the steel plates of which the thicknesses H are more than or equal to 80mm and less than 100mm are controlled and cooled by a straightening, forward ultrafast cooling, air cooling and laminar flow cooling process route. By the method, deformation stress in the steel plates is released, the straightness of the steel plates is ensured, the types of the steel plates are effectively controlled, ferrite grains are thinned, tissue structures of the steel plates are improved, and the performance uniformity and stability of the steel plates are ensured. The method is simple and practicable, is convenient to operate, has low energy consumption and low production cost, and can have an immediate effect without any investment.
