METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATMENT OF CHRONIC PROSTATITIS

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATMENT OF CHRONIC PROSTATITIS

Abstract

FIELD: medicine; urology; medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves contact exposure of the prostate to ultrasound through the rectum or prostatic part of the urethra. The high-amplitude low frequency ultrasound is applied on the urethra in its front part through liquid drug. The acoustic and technical parameters are as follows: urethral treatment – frequency 26.5 kHz, amplitude 35-60 mcm, distance between the sound-emitting end of the tool and mucous membrane of the urethra at least 2 mm, exposure time 60 s, tool motion speed at least 0.5 cm/s, circular exposure rpm at least 60; rectal treatment – frequency 26.5 kHz, amplitude 20-35 mcm, exposure time 120 s, tool motion speed at least 0.5 cm/s. The device has a generator of ultrasound, an acoustic unit, a working tool (waveguide), a perforated urethra dilator, and an acoustic unit for circular sound application. EFFECT: higher treatment efficacy; longer remission period.
