Abstract

The present invention relates to a magnetic field responsive microparticle based on mussel adhesive protein and a method for manufacturing the same. A mussel adhesive protein-based microparticle according to the present invention is a minimally invasive cell/drug carrier, thereby being efficiently applied for targeting and local delivery of therapeutic cells/drugs in a remotely controlled manner by using a magnetic field. In addition, the mussel adhesive protein-based microparticle can be widely applied to a support for tissue engineering and the like based on biocompatibility and adhesion.
