Long-chain alkyl betaine/graphene quantum dot composite antibacterial agent and preparation method thereof

Abstract

The invention discloses a long-chain alkyl betaine/graphene quantum dot composite antibacterial agent and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of antibacterial agents. Themethod comprises the steps that firstly, amino functionalized graphene quantum dots are prepared from citric acid in ammonia water through a pyrolysis method; then, through a carboxyl-amine reaction,long-chain alkyl betaine is loaded on the surfaces of the amino functionalized graphene quantum dots to prepare a long-chain alkyl betaine@graphene quantum dot composite nano material. In the presenceof a hydrophobic hydrocarbon chain and positive charge quaternary ammonium groups, the antibacterial performance of the composite nano material is remarkably improved. The preparation method is simple in preparation process and low in cost, and can realize industrial production. The prepared novel antibacterial carbon nano material has excellent antibacterial performance, low cytotoxicity and good biocompatibility, and can be widely applied to the aspects of drug delivery, biological imaging, tumor photothermal therapy or tissue engineering.
