Abstract
A method for the preparation of a natural implant for human or animal body tissue comprises growing and/or differentiating suitable body cells (9) on a cell underlay (8) using a culture medium. A thin underlay is placed on top of a porous substrate (6) and the cells on top of the underlay are covered with layer (10) of material which brings about or promotes a natural healing process. Also claimed is a similar method in which the cells are mixed with the healing material and then the mixture is applied onto the underlay.
