The inulin-chitosan conjugate has a strong destructive effect on bacteria, especially bacteria deep in biofilms, has a wide bactericidal range, and has good inhibiting effect on biofilm formation. At the same time, the inulin-chitosan conjugate can well solve the problem of poor water solubility of chitosan and reduce the antibacterial concentration of chitosan. The water solubility of the inulin-chitosan conjugate is obviouslysuperior to that of chitosan, thus broadening application of the inulin-chitosan conjugate in pharmacy, biomedicine, biotechnology, tissue engineering and other fields.
