23 Jul Intravitreal unfolder for retina in tissue engineering
Abstract
The invention discloses an intravitreal unfolder for retina in tissue engineering. The unfolder comprises an elastic plastic sleeve and a pair of microscopy forceps, wherein the pair of the microscopy forceps comprises an operation forceps handles and a microscopy forceps pipe handle provided with a microscopy forceps piece at the front end, and the tail end of the microscopy forceps pipe handle is connected with the operation forceps handles through a linkage device; the elastic plastic sleeve comprises an outer-layer sleeve and an outer-layer sleeve handle, the outer-layer sleeve is nested on the microscopy forceps pipe handle glidingly, the front end of the microscopy forceps piece is located in the outer-layer sleeve, an annular rubber sealing block is arranged between the middle of the outer-layer sleeve and the microscopy forceps pipe handle, the outer-layer sleeve handle is connected with the end, away from the microscopy forceps piece, of the outer-layer sleeve, the outer-layer sleeve handle is buckled, the outer sleeve slides, and the tail end of the microscopy forceps piece is located outside the outer-layer sleeve. The unfolder successfully avoids the defects of incarceration and shrinking of retina and can be used for transferring the retina to a designated transplantation part accurately and directionally with a cell surface facing the retina surface. With the adoption of the unfolder, operation wounds can be effectively reduced, and seed cells carried on a tissue engineering scaffold are protected.
