Integrated anterior cervical spine locking plate and titanium cage

Integrated anterior cervical spine locking plate and titanium cage

Abstract

An integrated anterior cervical spine locking plate and titanium cage is composed of a plate and a titanium cage, which are connected into a whole body by welding or rolling; four locking nail holes are arranged on the plate; included angles between four sides of the titanium cage and the circumferential side are acute angles or obtuse angles. The implantation of the titanium cage and the implantation of the plate are finished in one step; the plate and the titanium cage are connected into the whole body; the titanium cage is no longer a component difficult to be controlled and can be easily implanted to a position in need of reconstruction; the implantation positions of the titanium cage and the plate can be adjusted easily, so that the stress is decentralized and the load is shared; the stability of the reconstructed cervical spine is strengthened and the consequent problems such as sinking, inclination and displacement of the plate or the titanium cage resulting from non-uniform stressing are avoided. In the integrated anterior cervical spine locking plate and titanium cage, the appearance of the titanium cage is improved, horizontal openings at two ends of the traditional titanium cage are transited to small bevel openings which are lower at the front and higher at the end, and are more in line with the tissue engineering, so that the titanium cage and upper and lower vertebral endplates have wider contact areas and the better stability is provided.
