23 Jul INJURY HEALING PROMOTER
Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title promoter advantageously usable as a pretreating agent for treatment of injury of animal tissue or transplantation of animal tissue by combining a nerve growth factor(NGF) with a fibroblast cell growth factor(FGF). CONSTITUTION:The aimed injury healing promoter obtained by combining (A) a natural nerve growth factor (natural NGF) produced in an animal body or animal cell or NGF produced in gene recombinant technique or related substance thereof or a substance having NGF activity such as mutein with (B) a fibroblast cell growth factor (FGF) derived from nature or produced in generic engineering technique or related substance thereof or a substance having NGF activity such as mutein, preferably basic FGF. In the above-mentioned promoter, more remarkable prolongation of life, growth of nerve projection and arterialization action are exhibited, compared with a case when either one of NGF and FGF is used and especially, setting of transplanted tissue can be enhanced and degeneration or breakage of tissue after operation can be minimized.
