HYDROINSULATION COATING

HYDROINSULATION COATING

Abstract

The hydroinsulation coating can be used in civil engineering,in particular for making roof and other surface and undergroundhydroinsulations. It enables a cheaper and faster laying withimproved labour conditions and elimination of the risk of fireduring its application. The coating consists of a flexiblehydroinsulation layer (1) in which there is a reinforcement tissue(2). Layer (1) is made of cold hydroinsulation composition and isapplied on both sides of the reinforcement tissue (2) which formsuncovered strips (3) along the periphery of the coating with theflexible hydroinsulation layer (1). The cold hydroinsulationcomposition is bitumen aqueous emulsion in which the emulsifier isa combination of bentonite and calcium hydroxide and filler withthe following quantitative ratio of the components in wt.pts.:bitumen from 35 to 66, bentonite from 1 to 10, Ca(OH)2 from 0.5 to10, water from 30 to 55 and filler from 0 to 30. The filler ismade of crushed rubber. The emulsifier also includes fibrousadditive with fibre lengths from 0.1 to 5 mm in quantitative ratiofrom 0.1 to 5 wt.pts. It is also possible that the reinforcementtissue (2) to be unwoven textile veil of synthetic nonrotting orglass fibres.5 claims, 2 figures
