Abstract

Medicines are directly loaded between the inner wall and the outer wall of a biodegradable tube by co-melting extrusion, injection molding and mould pressing technologies or a one-step polymerization molding method. The hollow tubular biodegradable medication system is simple in technology and easy to operate, medicine loading capacity of the medication system can be realized by means of changing parameters such as length and wall thickness of the tube, a medicine ‘burst release’ effect generated by degradation of a polymer tubular carrier can be eliminated effectively, and degradation rate of biodegradable polymers of inner and outer layers can be controlled. The inside and outside of the system can be in contact with body fluid fully, and constant medicine release rate is realized by means of regulating and controlling the degradation rate of the inner and outer walls of the tube. The system has good biodegradability, good biological compatibility and constant medicine releasing speed, and has a high application prospect in the fields of tissue engineering and medicine sustained release.
