High-hardenability steel for engineering machinery and controlled rolling and controlled cooling preparation method thereof

Abstract

The invention discloses high-hardenability round steel for engineering machinery and a controlled rolling and controlled cooling preparation method thereof. The high-hardenability steel for the engineering machinery is prepared from the following chemical components in percentage by mass: 0.37 to 0.41 percent of C, 0.17 to 0.37 percent of Si, 1.40 to 1.55 percent of Mn, less than or equal to 0.025percent of P, less than or equal to 0.020 percent of S, 0.10 to 0.16 percent of Cr, less than or equal to 0.20 percent of Ni, less than or equal to 0.20 percent of Cu, less than or equal to 0.05 percent of Mo, and the balance of Fe and other trace impure elements, wherein Ni+Cu+Mo is less than or equal to 0.30 percent, Cr/(Ni+Mo) is greater than or equal to 1. A controlled rolling and controlledcooling process of the high-hardenability round steel for the engineering machinery comprises the following steps: first, performing rough rolling and intermediate rolling after a continuous castingblank is heated and is subjected to heat preserving; next, enabling the continuous casting blank to enter a finishing rolling unit, and enabling the continuous casting blank to enter a two-stage water cooling box for controlled cooling after rolling; and finally, enabling the continuous casting blank to enter a reducing and sizing mill for rolling, and enabling the continuous casting blank to enter a three-stage water cooling box for controlled cooling. According to the high-hardenability round steel for the engineering machinery and the controlled rolling and controlled cooling preparation method thereof, through a reasonable steel component design and a controlled rolling and controlled cooling technology, crystal particles are greatly refined, the tissue uniformly and mechanical property of the steel are remarkably improved, and the hardenability of the steel is greatly improved.
