23 Jul Glucose sensing artificial muscle and method for preparing the same
Abstract
The present invention relates to a glucose reactive artificial muscle. In particular, the present invention relates to a hydrogel-based glucose reactive artificial muscle causing a reversible volume change by a change in concentrations of glucose and carbon nanotubes, a method for producing the same, and a method for detecting a rotation-type artificial muscle and glucose by using the same. The glucose reactive artificial muscle according to the present invention provides reversible distortion by using expansion and shrinkage of hydrogel generated by a change in an inner anion charge caused by a combination of glucose and bromic acid introduced to hydrogel, and thus a change in a concentration of glucose can be sensed in a short time at a high sensitivity. Accordingly, the present invention can be usefully applied to various medical devices including a drug transfer system, a biomems, a biometric nano- and micro-device, a tissue engineering smart support, a drug feeding channel opening and closing device adjusted in accordance with blood sugar, a drug feeding concentration adjusting device, and a nerve stimulator, and to the nanomedical, drug transfer, rehabilitation medical, and bioengineering fields.
