Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutralized glucomannan scaffold which has a property of promoting cell growth and is suitable for three-dimensional tissue culture and tissue engineering.SOLUTION: A method of preparing a neutralized glucomannan scaffold comprises bringing a basic glucomannan scaffold having a pH greater than about 8 into contact with an aqueous solution at a pressure greater than or about atmospheric pressure, to form the neutralized glucomannan scaffold having a pH of about 7, thereby preparing the neutralized glucomannan scaffold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
