23 Jul EXTERNAL PREPARATION FOR SKIN
Abstract
PURPOSE:An external preparation for skin having increased preventing and improving effects on chapped skin, containing tropoelastin, a precursor protein of elastin. CONSTITUTION:An external preparation containing 0.0001-10wt%, preferably 0.01-5wt% tropoelastin. The external preparation is useful as a cosmetic, quasi-drug or drug to be applied to human skin. The tropoelastin used is tropoelastin obtained by technology of genetic engineering, namely, one obtained by preparing mRNA to code tropoleastic from tissue (e.g. aorta) of human, bovine, swine, sheet, chicken or mouse producing a large amount of elastin, by integrating cDNA corresponding to the mRNA into a manifestation vector to make a tropoelastin manifestation vector and by using Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis or yeast which is transformed with the manifestation vector.
