Electroimpedance computer mammograph

Electroimpedance computer mammograph

Abstract

The invention relates to medical engineering and can be used for diagnosing pathologic and nonpathologic changes in the mammary tissue, for monitoring a curing process and for screening (provisional diagnosis for determining ‘a risk group’). Said invention makes it possible to increase the stability of the device operation, to improve the diagnosis properties and the informativeness of the electrical impedance images of the mammary gland. The inventive electrmpedance computer mammograph comprises a body and measuring electrodes arranged on the inner surface thereof. A control microprocessor, which is located inside the body and is connected to a personal computer, is provided with injecting and measuring channels which are disposed on the printed circuit boards thereof and are connected by means of communication lines to an address decoder and to the dropping electrodes of the injecting and measuring channels. Said injecting and measuring channels are situated on two separate printed circuit boards of the microprocessor which are interconnected in a sandwich manner. All the electrically conductive parts of the measuring channel are coated with the same metal.
