23 Jul ELECTRIC HEATER FOR THERMAL JACKET
Abstract
FIELD: electricity. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric engineering, namely to fabric-backed flexible heating elements, which may be used in households, medicine, agriculture and various industries. Electric heater comprises heating element made of current-conducting tissue and placed between polymer layers of coating made of electric insulation material, along edges of current-conducting tissue there are edge electrodes arranged as electrically connected with electric cord, besides in points of connection of the latter to edge electrodes there is a thermal lead arranged on polymer layer of coating. Heating element is arranged of rectangular shape, one of edge electrodes is arranged in the form of flat strip, and the other one – in the form of ‘ô’-shaped strip, besides in the latter on section of strip beyond limits of current-conducting tissue there is a rupture arranged, in which thermal limiter or thermal controller is connected, being fixed on outer surface of electric heater, for instance as adhered, and on polymer coating there is a grounding element fixed, being arrange in the form of metal mesh or metal foil or in the form of coating from current-conducting (resistive) material. ^ EFFECT: improved reliability of electric heater operation. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg
