Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freeze-dried collagen matrix which has both of high biological degradation stability (hydrolysis stability) and mechanical tear strength (wet tear strength) particularlu in a hydration state suitable for a cosmetic and for a medical application.SOLUTION: A degradation-stabilized, biocompatible collagen matrix containing a soluble collagen and a peptide ingredient, a process for preparation of such a collagen matrix, including in particular a chemical crosslinking treatment with an epoxy-functional crosslinking agent, and use of the collagen matrix as a cosmetic or a pharmaceutical agent in particular for topical use, as a wound treatment agent, as an implant or as a haemostatic agent in humans or animals, and as a scaffold for cell population in the biotechnology, the basic research and the tissue engineering field are provided.
