Deep brain stimulation electrode capable of detecting blood oxygen level of deep brain nuclei

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of biomedical engineering, in particular to a deep brain stimulation electrode capable of detecting the blood oxygen level of deep brain nuclei. The deep brain stimulation electrode comprises a ring electrode, a core electrode arranged along the axis of the ring electrode, an insulating layer arranged between the ring electrode and the core electrode, a sleeve arranged outside the ring electrode, and an optical fiber arranged between the ring electrode and the sleeve. The ring electrode and the output end of the optical fiber are arranged flush, and the output end of the core electrode extends out of the output end of the ring electrode. By ingeniously integrating the core electrode, the ring electrode pair for the stimulation electrode and the optical fiber for optical signal transmission and acquisition, and isolation and insulation are achieved through the insulation layer, so that the capability of synchronously observing and recording the changeof local blood oxygen saturation of the deep brain nuclei when the deep brain electrical stimulation is carried out on the deep brain nuclei of a rodent small animal is replaced at the cost of creativity, and the method can be used as a low-cost in-vivo brain tissue metabolic activity research tool and meets the requirements of general research institutions on brain science such as cerebral bloodoxygen metabolism.
